My Whale watch tour to Kaikoura from Christchurch is an 11 hour trip with a 07.30 pick up recommended ( however happy to tailor the tour to suit your wishes )..The distance to Kaikoura is 185 kms and is a very scenic drive in itself passing through the wine region of Waipara and the rolling hills of Cheviot. I will provide morning tea when we arrive on the coast and can view the NZ Fur Seals on the rocks. During the Summer/Autumn we can quite often see the Dusky Dolphins close to the coast. The boat trip is just over 2 hours and you can expect to see the magnificent Giant Sperm Whale, NZ Fur seals ,Dusky Dolphins and Albatross from the boat as well as the spectacular coastal scenery.
Fresh homemade 2 course picnic lunch (seafood if you wish) prepared in a stunning location on the coast. Enjoy a leisurely delicious lunch in a scenic location of your choice.
Options to ride part of the way on Coastal Pacific Train http://www.tranzscenic.co.nz/ a farm tour for shearing and sheepdog demonstration.. If the weather is at all doubtful I will happily change the schedule to another location if whale watching boat is not operating. Tranz Alpine , Akaroa, Mt Cook or Hanmer Springs to suit clients wishes.
I can offer the Dolphin Swim tour as well as the Swim with seals tour if you wish.

Sorry Andrew I am terribly late in replying to your request. Do you still require a quote for Whalewatch and Aoraki Mt Cook Tour.
If so do you mind just dropping me an e mail to “cannz@clear.net.nz” and advise numbers and rough timing…IE do you wish to stay at Mt Cook or just day trip through to Queenstown…
Hope to hear back from you.
Kind regards
Craig
